DFS Flooring, LP said it has acquired the assets of M&M Floor Covering Inc., a privately-owned commercial flooring company located in Gardena, California. M&M has been in operation for over 40 years. The acquisition will help increase DFS Flooring's market share in the greater Los Angeles area.

“We are extremely excited to acquire a company that has the same core values and beliefs as we do, both from a customer services and environmental standpoint.” said Richard Friedman, CEO/President of DFS Flooring.

Both companies are members of the Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership, which provides a platform to facilitate customers nationwide.

“When the decision to sell M&M was made, we only ever had one company in mind. We have known Richard for over 60 years and are exceptionally happy to pass our legacy on to his company.” – Viola Malbonado.

DFS said it plans to continue to service M&M's clients under a larger infrastructure.
